You don't have to be some kind of vegan mistress floating on a cloud (and clothed in fair-trade bamboo threaded smocks) to enjoy my pal Chloe's new City Wellness Blog. The Flavorpill editrix's guide to hip, fun, good-for-you stuff in NYC is out of this world (and a good reminder of why I am so grateful New York is my home!). ;)

I dare you to give me one good reason to not endorse Hillary Clinton that isn't based on Bill's legacy.
Until then, we've got some dope 'scopes here for you at the 'Lair. Thanks, Sauce Mistress!

And Happy Valentine's Day, loved ones and buddies! xoxox, Marisa

Barack Obama is sexy.
With his caramel-latte-colored skin, deep voice, and slender physique, it's easy to see why he's so inspirational.
Hillary? Not so sexy. But I'm still endorsing her. Yes, you heard it here first: For the first time in Lassie's Lair history, I am endorsing a candidate. Hillary. I haven't heard many good reasons why she shouldn't be President. And I'm sick of hearing stuff about how she's part of the godawful Clintonian era. (Loved her comment last night: "It took a Clinton to clean up the first Bush's mess, and it'll take a Clinton to clean up the second Bush's mess.") As far as I'm concerned (and yes, in spite of Obama's putting his hand on her back in last night's debate), she's been snubbed by the Old Boy's Network. Blamed for Bill's failures. Hmm.... does this strike a chord with any of you ladies?
Throughout history, women have been blamed for their husbands' affairs, their children's illnesses, their husbands' addictions (um, Courney Love, hello!), etc. Isn't it time they get separate recognition? Can you imagine if we blamed Andrea Yates' husband for her six-child murdering spree? We don't!! (Though that's another issue). yet we blame Hillary for Bill's failures, without giving her credit in her own right.
She's not as sexy as Obama. But she's smart as hell, deserves credit for working hard to explore the ways to make universal healthcare work, and is getting too much blame for voting to give the Prez authority to invade Iraq. Did it occur to anyone that she was simply trying to be diplomatic?
So before you cast your ballot for Barack, think about why you think he'd be a more effective president. Sure, he's an inspirational speaker. But it takes a lot more than sexy talking to make an international -- and national -- impact. Go Hill!!
