Marisa got her start as a guitar teacher in the summer of 2004 at the Rock N' Roll Camp for Girls in Portland, Oregon.

When she moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 2006 she taught guitar and vocals at the prestigious Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. From there, she began working fulltime with the Brooklyn Guitar School and its parent company New York City Guitar School, teaching both children and adults in private and group lessons.

For more than six years, Marisa has taught hundreds of students -- from lawyer moms to corporate dads and children with learning challenges -- to play guitar, sing and perform onstage. Marisa is also an actress and musician who uses the stage name "Marisa MIni" and has played two national tours and a number of local jaunts in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
